Nutsche Filters and Filter/Dryers are multipurpose machines which allow different operations in the same vessel. In several cases they substitute two machines or more.
Operations performed in DNFD:
1. Filtration under pressure
In this step it is possible to obtain high degrees of solid/liquid separation through cake smoothing.
2. Washing cycles Repeatable as requests by process and with each cycle composed by:
solvent change
reslurry of cake and stirring
filtration and separation of solvents
3. Vacuum drying Cake is reslurred; bottom and side of vessel are heated while the chamber is in vacuum.
Bag filter or cartridge collect the powder while condensation unit collects the solvent.
4. Alternative blowing drying
In this process an inert or suitable dry hot gas is charged through the bottom.
5. Discharge
When the product has reached the requested dryness level it is discharged automatically through the side discharge valve.
